Rainy Day Activities To Do With Your Dog
Plan a Treasure Hunt
Let your dog’s amazing sense of smell take them on a hunt through the house! Start off by letting your dog see (and smell!) that you are hiding some of their favorite treats (like our Lucky Chips) so they get a sense of the game. Once they have gotten the hang of it start hiding them in another room or in more difficult to reach places.
Make It a Spa Day
Spend your extra time spoiling your dog! Give them a nice, warm bath, trim their nails, and give them a little puppy massage. This bonding activity helps them relax, improve circulation, keep them looking and smelling their best, and they will love the extra attention!
Photoshoot
Who doesn’t love cute dog photos? While you are bored at home together, think of some fun outfits to take your dog’s Instagram to the next level. Try dressing your puppy up with some spare clothes and accessories or staging them doing human activities.
Share them with your friends so they can join in on the fun and remember to reward your dog regularly for their good behavior!
Teach Them The Cup Game
This classic game has been enjoyed by humans as well as pets for generations! Grab three cups and let your dog watch as you hide a treat under one. Shuffle them around for a little bit and see if they guess which cup has their treat correctly! (You probably shouldn’t use glass cups for this game though)
Quiet Time
Rainy days are meant to be spent relaxing on the couch, and that includes some cuddle time with the pup! Break out the blanket, and put on a good show you both can unwind to. At the end of the day, your dog will be thrilled to spend some extra time with their favorite human.
